I'm Kathy Kimbrough, an anti-diet dietitian who helps people like you dismantle diet culture and find a calm relationship with food.

Art journaling has become an important outlet for me to explore body image and fight perfectionism, and I'm really excited to share it with you. 

I didn’t go to art school and I didn’t consider myself a “real” artist for most of my life. I find beauty and self understanding in the messy, unintentional, imperfect medium of paint, pen and collage.

I believe art journaling, body trust, and self acceptance are made for each other. If you don't think you're an artist, or if you want to challenge perfectionism in your life, these workshops are for you.

Art Body Doubling

hold space for yourself and creativity this summer!

This summer, I’m holding a low-pressure creative space on Friday mornings for anyone who wants a little support showing up.

Bring your art journal, a creative project, or even a life/admin task you’ve been avoiding. You don’t have to prepare anything in advance. I’ll have prompts available if you want a little structure, but you’re also welcome to simply work quietly alongside others.

New to body doubling in general? Here’s the gist- log on, we’ll do a quick intro and check in that can include what you are working on. Everyone will mute themselves (most people leave their camera on) and then we’ll have two work periods with a quick check in at the midpoint. We’ll wrap up with a check out and optional show and share in our last 10 minutes.

We’ll meet most Fridays from 9:00–10:30 am CST on Zoom. Sessions will start on 6/12 and go through 8/21. No meeting on 6/19 in observance of Juneteenth.

These sessions are donation based with a suggested contribution of $3 per session, but payment is not required to attend. You can contribute for one week, one month, or the full summer, whatever works best for you.
